Interest subsidy is One of the most consistent and prominent subsidy offered by Gujarat Government. This subsidy reduces the interest burden significantly and makes the bank loan more affordable and attractive.
This is a kind of Interest Subvention Scheme. Government offers the lucrative subsidy which works out to be approximately 40% to 70% of interest paid. Subsidy subvention starts from 5% and goes up to 9%. There is a minimum interest bearing clause of 2% which restricts unit getting more than due subsidy benefits. This clause is also applicable in this subsidy scheme.
Quantum of the subsidy depends upon Age, Gender, Cast, location of unit and many other parameters. However in Rupees term, any unit can avail up to Rs.35.00 Lac p.a. as interest subsidy.
